- 19 sheets phyllo dough (yufka)
- 2200g feta cheese (crumbled)
- 31/4 cup fresh parsley (finely chopped)
- 42 tbsp fresh dill (chopped)
- 51 tsp black pepper
- 6Vegetable oil for frying
- 7Water for sealing
Instructions
- 1Crumble feta cheese into a bowl. Add parsley, dill, and black pepper. Mix well.
- 2Cut phyllo sheets in half to create rectangles.
- 3Place about 1 tablespoon of filling along the narrow bottom edge. Fold the sides inward and roll tightly toward the tip.
- 4Seal with a little water.
- 5Heat vegetable oil to 180°C (350°F) in a deep pan.
- 6Fry in batches for 2-3 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
- 7Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
